A friend was kind enough to invite me for a 9 holes game at Jebel Ali Golf Club. This golf club, some 45 minutes away from Dubai, is a really nice place in the middle of nowhere. It only has 9 holes but the hospitality in this place is amazing.
I hardly ever say no to a golf invite and I was very excited to try out this course. It is only a 9 holes course but its a pleasant retreat among the desert AND construction sand.
A signature animal in this course is the peacock. Unfortunately, I refuse to be one of those 'people' who tracks down a peacock on the course and takes a picture of it! :p
My only wish is that we had played 18 holes ( repeat the course twice).
The course is also attached to a hotel and a marina. Below is a picture of all the privately owned boats docked at the marina. (Most of the owners of the boats here are said to be very rich and very well known in Dubai).
